Great jacket! It is comfortable up to 91 degrees. And down to about 50 with the rain liner and warm liner.Let me start of by saying that I purchased this jacket for a 7-day tour of Scotland (including the cold, northern coast) by motorcycle, so I wanted something that could handle anything that Scotland weather had to throw at me. This jacket, with its three layers (outer shell, windbreaker/water-shield, and quilted/warmth) performed better than expected. Temps were between 40-60F degrees and we rode through sun, clouds, wind and rain. The wind and water barrier worked flawlessly and held up to pretty heavy rain, which lasted off-and-on in some cases for 4-5 hours straight, and not a single leak. The water did however, have a cooling effect inside the jacket, so I had to layer some pretty hefty cold weather gear underneath the jacket to stay comfortably warm. Bear in mind that I was riding a naked bike with no windshield, so that may have played a part, however its worth noting that the quilted, warm layer didn't really add much warmth to the jacket.Overall, the fit of this jacket was excellent. Use the measurement guide, but I am 6' 0" and weigh-in at about 190 LBS and this jacket fit me like a glove, even with thicker layers on underneath. Plenty of adjustments to make it fit to your body and the red color looked sharp and was plenty noticeable without having to go the "hi-vis" route with the "highlighter" yellow color. To each their own, but the hi-vis yellow just doesn't do it for me.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I read tons of reviews before buying it. Yes, if you are not careful, the zipper can catch the layers underneath, and yes, I sometimes had to try a couple times to get the zipper down when zipper all the way up to the top, but it certainly was not a deal-breaker and just takes some care to operate. Note that this jacket it kind of heavy, but I suppose that it a good thing if one was to go down and the jacket was the only thing separating your body from the pavement.Full disclosure, this is my first jacket and I am a new motorcycle rider (although I've been riding scooters for several years, but with no gear), so I have nothing to compare it to, nor did I test out the armor (thankfully) by failing to keep the shiny side of the motorcycle upright.Final conclusion? I think this jacket is excellent for the price point and I look forward to getting many more miles and memories under my belt with this jacket. Nicely done!Nice fitting jacket, comfortable and a great removable liner. I would’ve given 5 starts but I would prefer Velcro straps on the arm adjustments but that is my only complaint. The cell phone holder will not hold an oversized phone, but I had no problems with mine. The jacket is a little longer than my previous riding jacket but I don’t mind the extra length. I would purchase again.Been wearing Joe Rocket mesh jackets for almost 20 years now. Was wearing one when I lowsided years ago and it saved my skin, so I'll keep coming back to them first.Airflow is solid, though the non-mesh material on the forearms is a little odd. Lot of pockets, so there are places for your stuff. Haven't worn the liner on this one yet, so I can't speak to the efficacy of that, but I have multiple jackets for different weather so I may never use it.Fitment is pretty good overall. Having some adjustments along the mid-upper torso to cinch the body closer would be nice, but the waist and arm adjustments work well.Love the color . So much motorcycle gear is black and while that's all hip and cool and great in winter, wearing it in the US South in the summer sucks the life out of you.The other piece I find odd is in my previous Phoenix, the jacket had the loops to along the back to keep the jacket from riding up. One the Phoenix Ion, loops in the front (the front tends not to ride up, but whatever) with a zipper in the back for attaching to their own gear and that's worthless. Want to put loops on the front, fine, but loop the back of the jacket to keep the back padding in place because I know very few people who wear the same gear from one company all over.I may replace the back pad with something thicker, but still unsure on that.Mesh jackets are always a compromise between warm weather comfort and crash safety, and this one is no exception. It's reasonably well made and has a few features I like such as zippered closures at the wrists and strong snaps to cinch up the sleeves rather than the more common velcro. I bought the XL based on other reviews and a large might fit better, but that possible mistake was mine. The sleeves of the XL are borderline too long for me, despite my simian arms.Don't buy this jacket unless you plan on replacing the back pad. It's among the worst I've experienced and barely qualifies as one. I put an A-Stars CE-approved pad in the pocket instead. The elbow and shoulder pads seem like the good stuff.I have yet to need the liners but they appear to be well made.It seems I've outgrown my old Joe Rocket jacket, one that I've had for about 10 years and still works perfectly. That one is a waterproof version with a cozy liner, and I used to have a cheap mesh jacket for the warmer months. I came across this on Amazon while looking for something waterproof to hold me until I lose the weight to fit back into the old JR.A mesh jacket with a waterproof liner? What a concept! Like the old one the waterproof function works perfectly. It's comfortable, it looks great, it's so warm with the "raincoat" that I unzipped the quilted vest and stuffed it into the saddlebags. The raincoat can also be worn by itself if you have to go out without the bike. The only negative that I've found is that my arms tend to get cold if I'm not wearing long sleeves and the temperature falls below 45-50. Meanwhile, the torso is sweating if I have to stop too often. I carry a set of lightweight compression sleeves that I can throw on if it gets too cold, though an old sweatshirt would work well too.I do miss the venting of the old JR, but this should be more versatile with California's weather.Me quedo la talla me gusto el productoMe habría gustado algún ajuste a la altura del pechoExactly what I expected. Top quality and lighter than I thought. I recommend this to anyone.
