Merrell Men's Trail Running Shoes - Lightweight, Durable & Breathable for Hiking, Jogging & Outdoor Adventures

As I use the Road Glove, I thought I'd give these a try, for those muddy, winter days! I 'really' like them! They have a nicer feel than the road version as they don't have the arch support. They have more grip than the road version allowing for a more relaxed form. Very pleased with them.I chose these because they are Merrell and Merrell trainers and walking boots have always fitted my feet perfectly (wide feet and a dodgy bone in my right foot.These went on like a glove and my first 12km run was a breeze, they were light, warm, supportive and a joy to wear.very light as expected and as such insoles offer little protection on stone tracks so I have inserted sorbathanes and they are perfect, I anticipated this and ordered a half size larger. No complaints, time will tell how hard wearing they are but they look well madeI don't know what has happened to Merrell, but they used to fit perfectly on my feet, which are a bit wide and have high insteps/arches. These were horribly tight and narrow!!It is a perfect fit and extremely comfortable on my feet. I also love the bright colours. I havn't had a chance to run in them in the rain but i can take merrell's word that it is water proof.
